Lower Saxony's capital, Hannover, is a bustling city with a glorious past. Home to the Hanoverian dynasty (which branched off into the UK's present day royals), the city is dotted with palaces. Studying and Working in Hannover

Hannover offers various opportunities for students. The main university is Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), home of the Max Planck Institute - a world-leading physics research lab. The university focuses mainly on scientific and technical subjects.

Hochschule Hannover is an applied sciences university, and a great destination for those seeking media careers. Its popular Photojournalism and Documentary-Making program is one of the only courses of its type in Germany. The city's medical school also has a very strong reputation.

Numerous English language courses are available from LUH, which also maintains close links with the city government, and major employers like TUI and Volkswagen. Moreover, with the huge Eilenriede forest within its borders, endless cycle paths,and parks everywhere, Hannover is a pleasant place to study, whatever course students choose.
