Germany to End Mandatory Masks on Public Transport from February 2023

Exciting news for Germany's citizens
You will no longer be required to wear masks on public transport starting February 2023! Saxony-Anhalt and Bavaria were the first states to lift mask mandates, yet the federal government had jurisdiction over long-distance trains until now. Now everyone can breathe a sigh of relief and look forward to traveling sans face coverings! Health minister Karl Lauterbach recently declared that the requirement for people to wear masks on public transportation over long distances would no longer be compulsory after February 2, 2023.
As of a specific date, employers will no longer be required to offer home office facilities or perform coronavirus tests for tested-positive employees. The government has yet to announce a firm policy on the response to infections in the workplace, leaving it up to employers' discretion. Keep an eye out in the upcoming weeks as more changes are unveiled!
