Admission Requirements for Master's in Finance in Germany

University Degree

  • To qualify for a master's program in finance as an international student in Germany, you must have a relevant undergraduate degree in finance, economics, business administration, or another related field. The exact requirements depend on the university you choose.
  • Generally, your undergraduate studies must have an equivalency of around 180 ECT points (European academic credits) to be eligible for a master's degree in Germany.
  • Universities also offer aptitude tests, so in some cases, even if you don’t have an undergraduate degree in a related field, you can be eligible for a master’s in finance by taking a university entrance exam. 

Language Requirements

  • Applicants must demonstrate English proficiency for English-taught programs, typically through the TOEFL (minimum score of 80-100 iBT) or IELTS (minimum band score of 6.5-7.0). Some universities also accept other tests, like Cambridge English exams or the Pearson Test of English (PTE).

Work Experience
