Course description
The Master of Science in Marine Ecosystem and Fisheries Sciences is a consecutive, research-focused degree program. Graduates gain hands-on and theoretical expertise in Biological Oceanography (BO) and Fisheries Science (FS). They apply these skills in lab work, field studies, and theoretical research. Students learn to develop scientific hypotheses by analyzing problems and choosing the best methods to test them. They stay informed about the current discussions on human impacts on marine ecosystems. With their knowledge, they can engage in social debates on managing and conserving ocean ecosystems and marine life. Qualification Requirements
1.1 Successful completion of the Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Natural Sciences, of a comparable degree program, or of another mathematics and physics-based degree program, provided that applicants can substantiate at least 90 ECTS credits of completed coursework in courses comparable to the curriculum of the Bachelor of Science in Meteorology. 1.2 Sufficient proficiency in English is required for the Master of Science in Atmospheric Science in order to reasonably understand the technical language and specialist literature.
