Course description

Cultural Heritage and Cultural Property Protection equips students with essential skills for managing both material and intangible cultural heritage. The course covers the fundamentals of cultural property protection. Students explore theoretical concepts and engage in practical applications related to cultural heritage. In this program, students delve into various study subjects, including the preservation of historical artifacts, the safeguarding of traditions, and the legal frameworks surrounding cultural property. They learn to appreciate the significance of cultural heritage and understand the responsibilities involved in its protection. Qualification Requirements

An above-average degree in a humanities, cultural or social sciences degree program or in degree programs with essentially the same content, for which a standard period of study is set at least three years of study, or a degree recognized as equivalent. When assessing the above-average result, only university final grades of at least 2.3 (ECTS grade: B) can be taken into account. Knowledge of English (C1 GER) The entry requirement for all undergraduate courses at the University of Heidelberg as well as for all German-language master's courses is very good knowledge of German. The required German language skills must be proven before starting your studies.
